Saddle-stitch binding
As well as being the simplest of the binding techniques, saddle stitch binding is also the most widely used.
What is saddle-stitch binding?
Folded signatures are placed over a "saddle" and then stapled along the spine. The stitched booklet is then trimmed on three sides: top, outside and bottom.
When to use saddle-stitch binding?
This type of binding is excellent for booklets, brochures and newsletters. It can also be used for lightweight magazines.
