Recognized by their peers for outstanding craftsmanship

PAIMS LogoLOVELAND, CO, May 13, 2011 -- Vision Graphics Inc., a leading provider of integrated marketing communications and print solutions, received top honors at the recent Printing Industries of America Mountain States (PIAMS) Best in the West Print Showdown Gala in Denver, CO. The Best in the West Print Awards recognize companies in the western region who demonstrate outstanding craftsmanship in the production of print communications.

“It is an honor to be recognized by Printing Industries of America ~ Mountain States, “said Mark Steputis, Vision Graphics Inc. president and chief executive officer. “We take tremendous pride in our work, from the paper it is printed on to finishing and bindery - it is important that we produce a product that our clients are proud to showcase. To be recognized not only by our clients, who return year after year, but by our peers as well is a double honor.”

Vision Graphics Inc. received six awards including the 2010 Gold Award for the Magpul Eleven catalog and the Sierra Designs Apparel brochure. The entries were judged based on the impact of the piece, degree of difficulty and technical excellence. The judges, a group of professionals from both the printing and creative sides of the printing industry, were from Portland, OR and followed criteria that included color, composition, substrates, technical difficulty and overall excellence of the finished piece. HP Provides Vision Graphics Inc. with "No Compromise" Solution

HPPALO ALTO, Calif., Jan. 20, 2011For Vision Graphics Inc., the installation of an HP Indigo 7500 Digital Press has meant the Colorado-based marketing solutions and print provider no longer has to offer “digital printing.”

During the past four years, when the company used a dry-toner digital press, the term “digital printing” served as a warning that affordable, shorter-run printing and one-to-one personalization came with a trade-off in quality and consistency that did not match the firm’s high-end reputation.

The value that Vision Graphics Inc. offers – the technology and expertise to help its clients grow by combining integrated marketing communications with high-quality print – is better supported by the advanced capabilities of the HP Indigo 7500, which uses liquid ink instead of dry toner.

“When we bought a toner press, we thought variable-data printing was the most important thing we needed to add,” said Mark Steputis, president and chief executive officer, Vision Graphics Inc. “We switched to the HP Indigo 7500 because we realized it is much more important for us to meet the high standards we set without making a distinction between different print technologies.”

Greater flexibility in print offerings:
The HP Indigo 7500 allows Vision Graphics Inc. to meet clients’ stringent quality expectations while fulfilling growing demand for affordable, low quantity print runs and personalized variable-data printing.

The company chose a six-color HP Indigo 7500 and added the press’s white ink upgrade – a feature not available on competing sheetfed presses – which allows full-color printing on colored, transparent or metalized substrates. The press also includes an optional thick substrate kit for printing on folding carton stocks and other thicker media up to 400 gsm/460 microns.

With the press’s expanded media range, Vision Graphics Inc. does not have to compromise on the types of jobs it prints. The press’s ability to print on plastic media is especially beneficial for ID cards and static clings, as well as outdoor-use instructional and field manuals.

Staying on the leading edge for print marketing services:
“The HP Indigo 7500’s capabilities are consistent with Vision Graphics’ total offering to clients,” said Michele McCreath, director, Marketing, Vision Graphics Inc. “Our company has always strived to produce the highest quality work using the best technology, and this new press once again places us on the leading edge in terms of the print and marketing services we provide.”

The HP Indigo 7500 Digital Press is ideally suited to handle short- to medium-run length jobs as well as high-value applications, such as variable-data-driven marketing collateral, photo books and personalized direct mail. The 7500 model is HP’s top-of-the-line sheetfed press and offers Intelligent Automation features for improved productivity, automated calibration and troubleshooting with a new Vision System solution and improved color consistency.(1) The press also uses less imaging oil and consumes up to 10 percent less energy per printed page.(1)

“Our customers drive profit and grow through their ability to offer timely, effective and high-impact communications,” said Jan Riecher, vice president and general manager, Graphics Solutions Business – Americas, HP. “Vision Graphics Inc. took a progressive step forward by recognizing what the HP Indigo quality advantage over toner can mean for its clients’ marketing campaigns.”
